Hazardous sea conditions are expected to affect north-eastern exposed coastal areas of T&T from tonight until Monday.

The Met Service says this is due to swells being generated by Hurricane Kirk which is over the mid-Atlantic Ocean.

It has issued a Yellow-Level Hazardous Seas Alert starting at 8pm today and running until 12pm on Monday.

Battering waves can be expected at the affected shorelines, which can be exacerbated at high tides, affecting near-shore activities like fishing, sea-bathing and mooring of boats.

Persons with marine interests are advised to exercise caution along the affected areas.
