The newly appointed Chair of the Children’s Authority has been urged to address a number of priority areas.

Marsha Bailey has received her instrument of appointment from Minister in the Officer of the Prime Minister with Responsibility for Gender and Child Affairs Ayanna Webster-Roy.

The Minister acknowledged the work of previous chairpersons but noted that there is now a chance to take the Authority in a new direction.

She added that areas for focus for the new chair include improving the efficiency of kinship care for children and enhancing the synergy and dedication of staff.
