The Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation says it has enforced a court judgment to regain control of the Eddie Hart Savannah pavilion.

In a media release, it says it gave an occupant of the premises a year of additional grace to vacate, following a May 2023 ruling.

The court ordered the removal of chains, locks and other barriers placed at the entrance of the pavilion, restricting public access.

The corporation says, after giving ample time for the occupant to vacate voluntarily, it was left with no choice but to comply with the court’s directive.

It notes that it is committed to transforming the Eddie Hart Savannah, including modern infrastructural upgrades.
