Demolition works are being carried out for a month at the area known as Memorial Block along Keate Street, Port of Spain.

UDeCOTT says the works began on September 13th and include the removal of nine existing structures, removal of foliage and collection of salvageable materials.

It notes that mitigation measures are in place to manage the impact of dust, noise, traffic delays and any other disturbance.

UDeCOTT says the site will be secured with barriers and there will be a designated contact person on site to assist with concerns or emergencies.
