A Prison Officer has been granted $25,000 bail after appearing in court charged with Possession of Prohibited Articles.

Isaiah Llewellyn was arrested on Friday at the Port of Spain Prison after he was found to have a flattened Lucky Strike cigarette pack containing 20 flattened Broadway Extra cigarettes.

More cigarettes were also found, with the officer later charged with Being in Possession of Prohibited Articles to wit, 20 Broadway Extra cigarettes without having the express authorization of the Commissioner of Prisons.

He appeared before Master Shabiki Cazabon this morning, with the matter adjourned to October 3rd 2024.
