The TTPS says investigations are underway into the shooting death of a worker at the St James Medical Complex.

31-year-old Jamaal Watts was shot by assailants in a silver Hyundai Accent while cutting grass behind the administration building around 10:30am yesterday.

Police say homicide detectives are on the ground and are committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice.

The NWRHA says emergency security protocols were activated following the shooting, with counselling services to be provided to staff and the victim’s family.
