Prime Minister Rowley has condemned what he said was the Opposition Leader’s attack on the Warner family from Tobago.

During a party meeting on Monday, Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar raised questions regarding Allan Warner and several others as it related to alleged illegal quarrying and recent dredging in the Sea Lots area.

Dr Rowley said he found the “attack” by Mrs Persad-Bissessar to be “obscene” and accused her of misinforming the public.

He also called on her to stop and instead put her energy into the national consultation on constitutional reform to be held in October.

Energy Minister Stuart Young reportedly issued a statement yesterday in which he also condemned the “attacks” on Mr Warner.
