An accident near the lighthouse in Port of Spain is behind the heavy traffic heading into the capital city this morning.

There have been reports of impeded flow on the highways from persons coming from east, south and central Trinidad.

103.1FM News understands this morning’s accident affected the westbound lane near the lighthouse, leading to “significant delays.”

We have been told that a car flipped but there were no injuries.

As at 9:10am, the vehicle was removed from area with traffic moving freely.
