Police have arrested six robbery suspects.

Yesterday afternoon police went to John John, Laventille, after receiving information that armed men were seen on the premises of a car dealership in the community.

Responding officers saw several men on and near the compound, however the suspects soon fled in different directions.

In the chase that ensued, six men were held: five aged 18, 21, 23, 24, and 25 from Picton Road, Laventille, and one 33-year-old from Eastern Quarry, Laventille.

The TTPS says the men will be placed on ID parades in connection with recent reports of several social media-based robberies.
