YouTuber Chris Must List says he will represent himself at his virtual court appearance tomorrow.
In a video posted to his official social media accounts, Christopher Hughes says his two virtual appearances thus far have come at a cost of about US$50,000.
Referring to this as “extortion” he says a decision was made to fire his lawyers.
He also claimed that a new estimate for senior lawyer fees could easily be over US$500,000 by the time his matter goes to trial, which he says he simply cannot afford.
Hughes returned to the country for the virtual appearance, which is for a charge of sedition.
The charge was laid in April 2024 after he published videos featuring reputed gang members.
