A 31-year-old Princes Town man has appeared in court charged with his mother’s murder.

56-year-old Marlah Boodram was allegedly locked in a room by a male relative on August 11th 2024 and physically assaulted over a period of time.

She died at the scene on August 12th 2024.

Adrian Koat appeared before Master Sookraj Goswami in the San Fernando South A High Court on Friday.

A Sufficiency Hearing has since been set for June 12th 2025.
