Next week, there will be a public consultation for persons to share their views on keeping or removing specific statues, monuments and signage in public spaces.
This will be hosted by the Cabinet-appointed committee to review the placement of statues, monuments and signage in T&T.
The event will be held on Wednesday August 28th 2024, from 5pm to 7pm at the Auditorium Conference Centre in the Government Plaza, Port-of-Spain.
Persons will be able to express their views on the removal or retention of specific statues or monuments in public spaces – particularly Columbus statues, what action should be taken with statues or monuments that are to be removed from their current locations, and suggestions for new statues, monuments and signage in public spaces.

Responses
