‘Wining’ bandit arrested

Police have arrested a woman following an unusual robbery in Port of Spain.

Around 2pm on August 15th 2024, a 62-year-old man went to a fast food restaurant after withdrawing $2,700 from a bank at Independence Square.

As he was about to leave, an unknown woman approached and allegedly began to gyrate on the man.

She also reportedly rubbed her hands all over him while asking about the welfare of his family, in an interaction that lasted for about ten minutes.

Subsequent to this, the man discovered that his money was missing from his pocket.

After a report was made to police, officers on mobile patrol spotted a woman fitting the description.

She was held and later identified by the victim.
