The National Hurricane Centre is continuing to track a large tropical wave located near the Lesser Antilles.

In an update this morning, it says this system continues to produce a broad area of disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity.

Environmental conditions are also forecast to gradually become more conducive for development and a tropical depression could form by this weekend in the vicinity of the Greater Antilles, Bahamas, or near Florida.

Interests in these areas are being urged to monitor the progress of this system.

It poses no threat to T&T.
