A bandit was reportedly shot dead during a home invasion in Charlieville this morning.

According to Newsday, the homeowner was awakened shortly after 3am, when five bandits entered his home along Caroni Savannah Road.

The victim reportedly drew his licensed gun and fired several shots.

One of the bandits was killed, while another was injured but managed to escape.
