A prisoner is expected in court after allegedly being found with prohibited items at the Port of Spain Prison.

Police say it carried out an intelligence-driven operation at the prison on June 6th, 2024 and extensively searched cells.

They reportedly found and seized one Samsung cell phone, a Bluetooth headset, and a quantity of cannabis from a prisoners’ cell.

The inmate has been charged with possession of prohibited articles.
