Venezuelan children to be enrolled in TT schools

Venezuelan-born children will be admitted into public schools from the new school year, starting September 2024.

But their parents must have their Migrant Registration Card and there is no guaranteed placement, as it depends on availability of space at schools.

The registration of these migrant pupils is being done on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning next week.

The parents, in addition to their card, must also have a translated Birth Certificate for their child, and their immunization record, passport sized photo and proof of address.

The application is not going to be processed unless all those items are submitted.
