A Police Officer was injured in a road traffic accident while on duty near the Freeport Flyover this morning.

103.1FM News understands the incident occurred around 8am.

An eyewitness video showed the officer on the ground next to a light coloured vehicle.

The injured officer was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the vehicle is assisting police with their enquiries into the incident.
