The Chaguanas Main Road is now clear of illegal street vendors, with mixed reviews from the legal vendors in the market.

Some say they were happy for the reduced competition, while others sympathized with the illegal vendors for their honest hustle.

One recommended that the facility be extended onto land that is now being used as a car park, to help take in additional sellers.

The Mayor says this exercise will be ongoing, with vendors operating illegally on the roadside near the Divali Nagar and Price Plaza next to vacate.
