In his bid to raise funds for a Lupus project, German backpacker Tilo Kruse bean his barefoot trek across Tobago yesterday.

He was accompanied by a Tobagonian, who also made the walk without shoes or slippers.

Kruse says he is excited to learn of Tobago’s culture, saying the residents have been welcoming.

And he hopes to showcase the beauty of the island, from the nature to the culture and hospitality.

The Lupus project meanwhile, will help establish a free medical clinic for patients in T&T, and so far he has raised just over one thousand US dollars, but his goal is 100 thousand.
