The UNC Leader claims government will be seeking approval for an additional $2.3B for its budgetary allocation when it goes to Parliament on Monday.

Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar made the allegation last night, saying that $120M of the requested sum is to pay legal fees.

The UNC Leader said the PNM has nothing to show for the billions of dollars allocated in the 2024 National Budget.

Mrs Persad-Bissessar was speaking at the Couva South Multipurpose Hall at the launch of the Star slate for the UNC’s internal election on June 15th, 2024.

Among the candidates of the Star slate are three for Deputy Political Leader – Senator Jearlean John and MPs David Lee and Dr Roodal Moonilal.
