Kolkata Knight Riders have stormed their way to the IPL Final with an 8-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad today.
Batting first, SRH put 159 all out on the board, thanks to 55 from Rahul Tripathi and a late flourish 30 from skipper Pat Cummins.
Mitchell Starc was the chief destroyer, grabbing 3/34, while Sunil Narine and Andre Russell picked up one wicket apiece.
In reply, Venkatesh Iyer (51*) and Shreyas Iyer (58*) put on a 97 run partnership for the third wicket, to see KKR to 164/2 in just 13.4 overs.
Despite the loss it is not over for SRH, who will now have to play the winner of tomorrow’s Eliminator involving Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
