One suspect was wounded as police recovered a stolen vehicle yesterday afternoon.

Around 3:30pm, officers received a broadcast of a robbery at Soogrim Street, Cunupia, with a black Honda Vezel taken from its owner at gunpoint by several armed men.

The vehicle was tracked and intercepted along the Southern Main Road in Cunupia, where officers shot a suspect who allegedly pointed a firearm them.

A pistol was seized, with the suspect taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility for medical attention.
