Major (Ret’d) Roger Best has been officially terminated as Director of the Strategic Services Agency.

In a statement, National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds says the decision was taken by Cabinet on Saturday.

On March 2nd 2024, Major Best was sent on administrative leave.

He was replaced by Ambassador Brigadier General Anthony Phillips-Spencer, who was tasked with conducting a review and audit of the SSA’s personnel, equipment, and processes.
