A bushfire is currently burning west of the Beetham Landfill, in the vicinity of the mangrove.

The T&T Solid Waste Management Company Limited says while the blaze is not in its jurisdiction, its Emergency Management Team will continue to monitor the situation to ensure it does not spread to the landfill.

Commuters are advised to exercise caution, and especially those who live in close proximity to the bushfire.
