Today, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley was hosted by Reliance Industries Limited, one of the largest private sector corporations in India.
The Office of the Prime Minister says Dr Rowley is in Mumbai on the invitation of the company, which owns the Mumbai Indians IPL team and has expressed an interest in establishing a cricket academy in Trinidad.
Dr Rowley and his delegation were given an extensive tour of the company’s refining and petrochemical complex in Jamnagar.
The tour also included in-depth presentations on Reliance’s drive towards new energy production, including solar energy and biofuels.
Accompanying Dr Rowley were Mrs Sharon Rowley, Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan, and Sport and Community Development Minister Shamfa Cudjoe-Lewis.
