Sport Ministry: Brian Lara Cricket Academy ready for T20 World Cup matches

The Sport Ministry says the Brian Lara Cricket Academy is ready to host matches for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

It says the stadium has been officially approved as a venue and received the stamp of approval from Cricket West Indies.

It adds that the pitch is in prime condition, rehabilitation of the practice net facility has been successfully completed, and the outfield is fully prepared.

The Brian Lara Cricket Academy will host five matches, including a group stage clash between West Indies and New Zealand, and a semi-final match on June 26th.

The tournament kicks off on June 1st.
