A soldier has been arrested for stealing a cellphone at the Piarco International Airport.

A woman reported to police that around 3pm on May 3rd, she plugged in her phone to charge, however around 30 minutes later she discovered it missing.

Investigators reportedly obtained video footage showing a man dressed in an army camouflage uniform taking the phone and charger, exiting the Airport and driving away in a marked Defence Force vehicle.

The suspect, a Lance Corporal, was held on May 14th.
