Police Complaints Authority Director David West has met with 161 new police recruits as part of an outreach session.
Conducted at the Police Training Academy in St James today, Mr West warned that their job would be a tough, thankless one.
He added, “You are here to show the public that you intend to make a difference. Do not get involved in corrupt activities. Do not let your families down. More importantly, do not let yourselves down.”
Mr West conducted the session with the assistance of members of his staff, including legal, investigations, communications and IT.
They gave an insight as to the role and functions of the PCA, and fielded questions from the recruits during an interactive session.
The 161 recruits will pass out on May 29th.
