Two suspects have been arrested in connection with two separate reports of robbery with aggravation in Arima and Matura.

In the first incident, a male victim told police that around 6pm on 7th Sunday, he was accosted and robbed by two men as he left his Arima workplace.

Officers of the La Horquetta Police Station later apprehended one of the suspects, a 22-year-old Chaguanas man, a short distance away.

Meanwhile in the second incident, a Matura man reported to police that around 11:30pm, yesterday, he was in the company of others when a man started making threats against them.

The suspect allegedly fired a gun in the direction of the victim and took his cellphone before leaving the scene.

The suspect was held a short while later by Matura Police.
