New pedestrian crossings have been unveiled near City Gate in Port of Spain.
The Works Ministry says it is part of efforts by the Traffic Management Branch to improve facilities for pedestrians, especially in urbanized areas of Trinidad.
With the new road markings, pedestrians can now cross diagonally, reducing the number of directions that have to be navigated to get to a final destination.
It adds that this will benefit thousands of pedestrians who use the City Gate facilities to enter or exit the capital city.
