A magnitude 4.8 earthquake has struck the New York and New Jersey regions.
Governor Kathy Hochul posted to X (formerly Twitter) at 10:34am to state that her team is assessing the impacts and any damage that may have occurred.
She added that she will issue updates during the day.
NBC News says the quake caused buildings to shake and rattled nerves in Philadelphia north to Boston.
It adds that the US Geological Survey measured the quake as magnitude 4.8 near Lebanon, New Jersey.
