A 27-year-old man was allegedly held with a 12-guage shotgun while walking along Bonsai Circular, Sangre Grande.

The TTPS says around 1:45pm yesterday, officers of the Eastern Division Gang & Intelligence Unit and Eastern Division Task Force were conducting gang suppression and surveillance exercises in the area when they received information about the suspect.

Officers from the EDGIU responded and later found the man carrying a large blue bag containing the firearm.

The suspect, an unemployed man from North Eastern Settlement, is currently being questioned by police.
