Tomorrow, thousands are expected at the NCIC Nagar in Chaguanas for the EPIC Hanuman Chalisa ChanTTing 03.
Carded to begin at 2pm, the event will begin with offerings to Lord Hanuman.
Then, from 5pm, attendees will begin chanting the Hanuman Chalisa, a timeless ode filled with praises for Lord Hanuman.
Organizers will also distribute 20,000 rakshas that were blessed at the recently opened Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Devotees are asked to wear red.
This is the third edition of this event, with previous incarnations held in 2015 and 2016.
Earlier this week, businessman Inshan Ishmael offered the nearby Barakah Grounds for parking during the event.
Explaining the decision in a Facebook post he said, “We live, work and play with each other and respect is something that should come naturally but sadly we know that is not the case. The Hindu Community have been significant contributors to all our charitable causes and projects, they have and continue to support all my businesses and to are part and parcel of our everyday fabric. This is the type of relationship we need to focus on to built a better T&T.”
Among those carded to attend the event at the NCIC Divali Nagar is 103.1FM’s Pundit Narad Gosine.
Following the event, Pundit-ji will leave for Guyana, which is carded to host its first ever Hanuman Chalisa Chanting on Sunday at the National Stadium in Providence, Guyana.
