Update: Samsung working on issue affecting A Series

Samsung engineers are said to be working on an issue that has led some A Series phones to crash following its latest software update.

Reports have been coming in over the past days of phones not powering back up or turning back on but with a range of problems.

Phone owners in T&T have taken to several platforms to raise the issue, while at least two local cell phone repair confirmed that they have had customers come in with dead A Series phones.

When contacted via its WhatsApp and telephone customer care lines, Samsung confirmed that the issue has the attention of its engineers.

However, there was no timeline for the release of a patch, nor details on its roll out.

A number of reports have surfaced in the past days that some Samsung A Series phones have been crashing after performing a software update.

Phone owners in Trinidad and Tobago have taken to several platforms to raise the issue, including Facebook, TikTok and even Samsung’s EU community website.

At least two local cell phone repair companies posted to social media to confirm that they have had customers with these A Series phones coming in after their devices died.

While some A Series owners have not had the issue, reports suggest that the issue is affecting a number of A Series models.
