NHC update on Atlantic disturbance

A tropical depression or storm is likely to form during the next day or so in the Central Tropical Atlantic.

However, according to projections from the National Hurricane Centre, this system is not expected to make landfall in the Caribbean or North America.

The NHC says shower and thunderstorm activity is continuing in association with the area of low pressure located about 700 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands.
