Massy Energy Engineered Solutions Ltd says its deceased employee Allanlane Ramkissoon was brought back from Colombia today following the tragic event that occurred at the NiQuan facility in Pointe-a-Pierre on Thursday June 15, 2023.

The company states that it continues to support Allanlane’s family and is assisting with funeral and other arrangements.

It also says it continues to participate in ongoing investigations to determine and understand the cause of the tragic incident.

When the incident occurred, Ramkissoon was airlifted to a specialist burns unit in Colombia for “emergency medical treatment at an accredited specialist facility”. It was here that the 35-year-old died of his injuries on June 18.

OSHA has also shut down operations at the plant where the incident occurred.
