The Chaguanas Mayor says urgent action is needed as humps installed on the reopened Perseverance Road Bridge is causing “traffic chaos.”

The bridge was reopened on Friday after works to address its partial collapse at the start of last month.

Mayor Faaiq Mohammed says newly installed humps at the bridge are so short and high that vehicles have to slow down significantly, creating congestion and frustration.

He is demanding an explanation from the Works Ministry for what he describes as a “poorly thought-out decision.”
