WASA says a pipe seen gushing water near the newly opened Cumuto Highway has been closed since yesterday.

A video of the incident has been circulating on social media.

103.1FM News spoke with an official from the Authority, who says the open pipe was a washout valve that was opened yesterday to aid in effecting repairs to a broken transmission main in Cumuto.

Those repairs were completed yesterday and the washout valve has since been closed.
