A Couva man was killed and three others wounded after a house in Couva was reportedly firebombed this morning.

Dead is 25-year-old Tyrone Foster.

According to reports, he succumbed to injuries sustained while trying to escape the fire at his home in an HDC development in Exchange Village

In a statement, the HDC says the duplex unit was destroyed though the exact cause of the blaze is yet to be confirmed.

It adds that checks will be done to determine the extent of damage to the building, including water damage to adjacent units.

Remediation will be done by the Facilities Estate Management Company Limited following a report by the Fire Service.
