WI vs Ireland: ODI schedule revised, T20I match cancelled

The 2nd ODI between West Indies and Ireland will be played on Thursday, January 13th.

The match was scheduled for today, but was postponed after five COVID-19 cases, as well as injuries in the Ireland camp, left their squad depleted.

Cricket West Indies and Cricket Ireland have also agreed that the third and final ODI will be played on Sunday, January 16th.

Sabina Park will host both games.

The one-off T20 International between the two sides has been cancelled to allow for the revised schedule and to avoid impact on the teams’ travel plans and future fixtures.

These ODI matches form part of the ICC ODI Super League, with both teams having the opportunity to win points to be one of the top seven teams, excluding hosts India, to gain automatic qualification for the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

West Indies lead the three-match series 1-0 following their 24-run victory in the first ODI on Saturday.
