WI U19s lose World Cup warm up by 108 runs


    West Indies U-19 cricketers lost their World Cup warm-up encounter with India yesterday by 108 runs.

    Batting first in Guyana, India made 278/6 in 50 overs with a top score of 78 not out by Nishant Sindhu.

    Johann Layne led the West Indies bowling with 3/51.

    Then, the hosts were bowled out for 170 in 43 overs, despite a resilient 52 from 101 balls by Matthew Nandu.

    The U-19 World Cup, being held in the West Indies, bowls off on Friday with the hosts taking on Australia.
