West Indies still in control after Day 4

The West Indies have retained the edge at the end of Day 4 of their first Test against England at Southampton, with a flurry of wickets late in the day.

England batted the entire day, chipping away at their 114-run first innings deficit, as Rory Burns (42) and Dom Sibley (50) led at the top as Zakk Crawley (76) and Ben Stokes (42) contributed towards their eventual lead.

Roston Chase (2/71) and Alzarri Joseph (2/40) contributed to England’s batting demise but Shannon Gabriel led with 3/62 to keep the West Indies in control.

England will resume Day 5 on 284/8, leading by 170 runs with just the tail end batsmen on hand.

Barring any rainfall, the final day promises to be exciting, especially if you’re a West Indies fan.
