Another poor batting display by an inexperienced West Indies team has handed Bangladesh a series win after the second ODI.
The young West Indians could only muster 148 in 43.4 overs batting first with 41 of those runs coming from Rovman Powell.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz took an economical 4/25 in 9.4 overs while Shakib Al Hasan continued his fine form on his return to cricket with 2/30 in 10 overs.
The hosts then made light work of the chase, getting home in 33.2 overs on the back of a patient 50 from Tamim Iqbal and a composed 43 not out from Shakib
Points from the matches going towards the 2020-23 ICC Men’s World Cup Super League which is part of the qualification route to the World Cup.
This means there is still much to play for in the third ODI.
With their two victories, Bangladesh have 20 points and are third in the table while West Indies are yet to get off the mark after their first two encounters.
