Playing in the first of three games, England put six goals past Iran who managed two consolation goals via Mehdi Taremi.
For England, Bukayo Saka bagged a brace while Jude Bellingham, Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Jack Grealish grabbing a goal each.
Netherlands got past Senegal in the second game by two goals scored by Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaassen in the 84th and 9th minute of stoppage time.
In the day’s final clash, Wales drew 1-1 with the USA thanks to a Gareth Bale penalty in the 82nd minute.
Bale’s strike cancelled out USA’s goal from Timothy Weah in the 36th minute.
Tomorrow, Argentina will face Saudi Arabia from 6am, Denmark will take on Tunisia from 9am, Mexico will square off against Poland at 12pm and defending champions France will start their campaign against Australia at 3pm.
