A steady innings by David Warner has helped Australia secure a 3-0 whitewash over Sri Lanka in their T20i series.
He made 57 not out from 50 balls to anchor the Aussies’ chase of 143 which they accomplished in just 17.4 overs, losing 3 wickets.
In the process, Warner moved past 2000 T20i runs.
Earlier, Kusal Perera scored a half century to take Sri Lanka to 142/6 – Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson and Pat Cummins all took two-wicket hauls.
Warner was named Player of the Match for his match-winning innings and Player of the Series after scores of 100 not out, 60 not out and 57 not out.
