A young T&T cyclist is now living her dream after being signed by Australia-based cycling team Mitchelton-SCOTT.
23-year-old Teniel Campbell has joined the team for the next two seasons following two years of development work in Switzerland and Italy.
She had burst onto the scene in 2018 when she was invited to join the UCI World Cycling Centre.
According to a media release from Mitchelton-SCOTT, the team will use the upcoming seasons to work closely with Campbell to help her gain experience and unlock her ability across the world calendar.
Campbell says, “Mitchelton-SCOTT has been my dream team ever since I was in the World Cycling Centre, some days I have to pinch myself to believe it’s actually happening.”
Among Campbell’s top results so far in her career is a first place finish in the 2019 Tour of Thailand (Stage 2).
