T&T footballer Clyde Leon dies after heart attack


    Former T&T national football team captain, Clyde Leon, has died at the age of 37 after a heart attack earlier today.

    His passing has been confirmed by the T&T Football Association which described him as a loyal and humble servant to the sport.

    Leon made his international debut against Guyana on March 2nd 2004 and also wore the captain’s armband during his career.

    Following his final T&T match in 2012, he went on to serve as national U-17 and U-15 assistant coach.

    Leon also represented W Connection FC with which he won the T&T Pro League title in the 2011/12 season.
