Trinbago Knight Riders fell one run short in their clash with St Lucia Kings, closing off their home leg of games with defeat.

Chasing 148, TKR’s top order collapsed again, despite 44 from Tim Seifert opening the batting.

Kieron Pollard attempted a middle-order revival with 34 but he too was eventually back in the dugout.

The final over by Roshon Primus saw TKR needing 22 runs and they got 20 as Andre Russell pummeled the last three balls for a four and two sixes – agonizingly short of the target at 146/6 in 20 overs.

Roston Chase led the Kings bowling attack with 3/17 in four overs.

Earlier, the Kings made 147/6 on the back of 54 by Johnson Charles.

St Lucia occupy second-place on the table with eight points from eight games while TKR sit in fourth with seven points from eight games.

CPL action moves to Guyana and will resume on Wednesday.
