T&T swimmer Dylan Carter has qualified for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Dylan made the announcement today via his Instagram account, coincidentally, exactly a year before the start of the Games.
He has qualified by virtue of placing 12th overall in the 100m freestyle of the 2019 FINA World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
His time of 48.52 seconds is just inside the qualification time of 48.57.
Carter’s appearance in Tokyo next year will be his 2nd Olympics after swimming in the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
He competed in the 100m freestyle and set a then national record of 48.80 seconds but failed to progress to the semi final.
